We are a small volunteer not-for-profit looking for an excellent and efficient back-end web developer who will work on the programs and software to make sure everything works properly behind-the-scenes of our WordPress website.
The scope includes working with operating systems, API’s, database management, security, site architecture, SEO optimisation, establishing a members-only section and legal data management requirements to ensure full compliance. Ultimately you’ll improve the user experience and deliver a website that is simple, intuitive and efficient to use and allows users to quickly find the information they need.
We would like to set up the website to be easy for us to manage and upload documents, events, etc. However, if we work well together and we like what you’ve done, we expect to continue working with you in the long-term as we continue to update and evolve the website, plugins, data management, etc.
You will be HIGHLY experienced and skilled in:
- WordPress, Memberpress and Hubspot
- Working with operating systems, API’s and databases and manage the code for security, plugins, content and site architecture.
- Membership-based sites – we have a member’s login for content and resources restricted to members only. Functionality includes online payment, auto-renewal of membership, members-only content, general information and a contact form.
- Compliance with all legal obligations for data management including storage, sharing, consent, etc.
- Database setup and management – we need to migrate all existing data to one central source of data and ensure new data from all plugins is integrated seamlessly into this one data source so it remains updated and optimised
- SEO optimisation and migration of current SEO value to the new website so we rank on Google and other key search engines.
- CRM management systems – recommend and establish a fit-for-purpose CRM system and processes that would be appropriate for our website and management of our members, communications, etc.
- Automation – since we’re a volunteer organisation and are very time poor, we need to automate information, updating databases, etc and you’ll provide solutions to maximise the automation of these and other functions.
- Cybersecurity with an excellent understanding of cybersecurity best practices that are critical for effective web development. You should also carry out security audits on a consistent basis.
- Testing website on various devices and browsers to ensure that it works correctly and is user-friendly and debug any issues that arise.
- Collaborating with front-end developers to bring the website to life.
You will be:
• Driven, energetic and committed to deliver on time and budget
• Work well under pressure with quick turnaround • Fluent in English and have excellent at communication
• Innovative and creative but deliver a simple, easy-to-use product
• Able to take the initiative, foresee issues, ask questions and suggest solutions
Depending on how we work together, we are looking for a long-term partner to work with us from time to time rather than a once-off-assignment. As a not-for-profit we need basic functionality initially so are looking for a partner who can be economical in building the website and functionality.
If you would like more information or believe you have the skills required to work with us, please contact donne@wellbeingaustralia.com.au at your soonest convenience.
